A few months ago this was branded as Geno’s, which was one of several food concepts working out of what seems to be a shared kitchen space called Foodie Hall. The facility sells itself as a one stop shop to get delivery from several different cuisines at once. The cheesesteak offering is no longer called Geno’s and now is the generic “Foodie Hall Cheesesteak.” So, I was curious if anything changed. And surprisingly, it did. It seems like the owners decided to move in favor of today’s popular new style cheesesteak offering. The roll was now seeded, although not in great shape, and it couldn’t hold up against the meat and cheese. The meat was chopped smaller than the prior slab cut, but still a little too big and too dry. Although, as I always like, there are crispy bits of meat where it sat against the griddle during cooking. The larger chunks are also very tender and easy to bite through. There are now cheese options, including Cooper Sharp.
Overall this is a huge improvement and now worth another trip!
